Information last verified: 2026-11-01 · Always verify on the official portal before applying.

Scholarship rules, amounts and deadlines change every year — always confirm on the official portal (NSP / state portal) before applying. Money comes only via DBT to your Aadhaar-seeded bank account — never pay any agent.

How scholarships work in Jharkhand

Jharkhand runs post-matric scholarships on the e-Kalyan portal and has added two newer state schemes: a low-interest student credit card and a staged cash support scheme for girls.

Jharkhand students often lose a year because the caste, residence and income certificates on e-Kalyan do not match their Aadhaar name. Get all three from Jharsewa in the same spelling, and ask your college to finish verification before the district deadline — e-Kalyan forms that are not forwarded by the college are not paid.
