Information last verified: 2026-11-01 · Always verify on the official portal before applying.
Scholarship rules, amounts and deadlines change every year — always confirm on the official portal (NSP / state portal) before applying. Money comes only via DBT to your Aadhaar-seeded bank account — never pay any agent.
How scholarships work in Meghalaya
Meghalaya does not have one single scholarship portal. The Directorate of Higher and Technical Education (DHTE) publishes notifications and forms on its website, while central schemes run on NSP.
Meghalaya students should watch the DHTE notice page closely, because state scholarship forms are released as downloadable notices rather than through one online portal. Most Khasi, Jaintia and Garo students also qualify for central ST scholarships on NSP.
