How scholarships work in Punjab

Punjab runs the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship for SC students on its own state portal, with the central government sharing the cost. Students in government and private colleges can both benefit.

In Punjab, the SC post-matric scholarship is largely a fee waiver: eligible students should not be asked to pay approved fees at admission in government and many private colleges. If a college demands the full fee, ask for the scheme rules in writing and contact the district welfare officer.
