Information last verified: 2026-11-01 · Always verify on the official portal before applying.
Scholarship rules, amounts and deadlines change every year — always confirm on the official portal (NSP / state portal) before applying. Money comes only via DBT to your Aadhaar-seeded bank account — never pay any agent.
How scholarships work in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh runs one of the country's largest scholarship systems on a single portal for every category — SC, ST, OBC, general and minority — with clear phase-wise timelines each year.
UP's scholarship calendar runs in fixed phases: registration, final submission, institute verification, district verification and payment. Students in the first phase usually get paid earlier, so registering in July–August rather than at the last date can mean receiving the money months sooner.

Avoid these rejections
- Your board roll number and year must match exactly.
- The institute's fee must be approved in the master data.
- Print and submit the final form to your institute — online submission alone is not enough.
